General Instructions for Participants

3rd Alumni Meet– May 20, 2024
3rd Convocation – May 21, 2024

1. Participants for Convocation need to register online themselves with the Google form
   (Link also available on Website) by May 20, 2024. The registration fee is Rs. 1000/- (non
   refundable) for Convocation and Alumni meet combined which should be paid by the
   degree recipients at the registration counter. The registration fee for Alumni meet only
   is Rs. 500/- (non refundable).
2. Those candidates who have passed their final degree examinations during May 2023 to
   April 2024 are eligible to obtain the degree during this convocation.
3. The convocation will be held at the Akal University Campus, Talwandi Sabo.
4. Physical registration of the degree recipients will be made on May 20, 2024 from 9:30
   AM to 11 AM at the registration counter.
5.  Please note that no registration will be allowed after 11:00 AM (on May 20, 2024). It will
   not be feasible to entertain any request in this regard.
6.  Rehearsal for the Convocation will be held on May 20, 2024 from 2:30 PM onwards.
   Hence all the degree recipients who wish to attend the Convocation must report for the
   rehearsals. If any candidate needs night stay arrangement it would be done in the
   University Hostels on written request (charges Rs 200/-).
7.  The Academic costumes would be made available to the degree recipients at the
   designated counter on May 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM onwards by payment of Rs 500 out of
   which Rs 300 will be returned on returning the costume after the convocation.
8.  Dress for UG/PG Participant is White / Sea green Salwar Kameej with Dupatta for Girls
   and White Kurta Pajama for Boys with Blue Turban (For Sikh Students).
9.  Please note that only the degree recipients who have registered and have taken part in the
   rehearsals on May 20, 2024 and are in full academic costume will only be allowed to sit
   in the convocation arena. Candidates who are not in their proper academic costume will
   not be permitted to receive their degree in person.
10. Candidates receiving their degrees in person are requested to be present on May 21, 2024
    by 9:00 A.M. at the University Campus.
