About The Department

The Department of Mathematics is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. The department provides the necessary resources and guidance for students who are preparing for advanced studies in the field, or pursuing a career in academia, industry, or technology to achieve their goals and contribute effectively in their chosen fields. Currently, the department offers a Ph.D. in Mathematics, an M.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics. Our programs offer a strong foundation in both pure and applied mathematics, empowering students to develop critical problem-solving and analytical skills. With a team of accomplished faculty and access to cutting-edge resources, we provide a vibrant academic environment that encourages innovation and discovery.

Course B.Sc. (Honours) Mathematics
Duration 4 years (Semester System)
Eligibility
  • 10+2 with 60% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as one of the regular subjects.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PWD) category (provided they produce a medical certificate of at least 40% physical disability) shall be allowed relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate percentage.
