To train general & specialized physiotherapy professionals who can work towards preventive health, update and share existing and new knowledge in the field of physiotherapy
Objectives
- To maintain the highest standards in academics and achieve them by continually measuring and improving our outcomes.
- To ensure that students acquire substantial clinical experience by actively participating in various internships and community service programs such as physiotherapy camps and workshops.
- To encourage both students and faculty to engage in evidence-based research and practice, adapting new treatment approaches by integrating knowledge from basic sciences and physiotherapy, and promoting the development of new rehabilitation techniques and approaches.
Scope
- Graduates can pursue their career as Specialized Physiotherapists in Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Sports, Neurology, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, Post Operative and Cardiovascular conditions, or Consultant Physiotherapist in various private sectors such as Multi-specialty Hospitals, Health Care Centers, NGOs, or as Corporate Physiotherapist in Multinational Companies, as well as in government sectors such as National Ayush Mission, CRPF, Sports Authority of India (SAI), AIIMS, ITBP, NIEPMD
- Graduates can also do higher studies and enter the academia as Lecturer or Clinical Researcher
- Physiotherapists are also required in Special Schools for Physically Challenged Children, in Old Age Residential Homes, in Rehabilitation Centers/ Organizations.
- Physiotherapists can work as Health Care Physiotherapy Instructor in Modern Gymnasium and as Sports Physiotherapists with Sports Associations and Teams.
- Entrepreneurs can start aid in-home physiotherapy service, or run Private Physiotherapy Practice
