About The Event
To reduce the ever-increasing chemical pollutants scientists are restlessly developing/modifying chemical processes to make them green and sustainable. Discovery of new drugs is also another important aspects. Under this purview, interactions with distinguished scientists might bring opportunity to learn many new things of today’s research. With this aims and objective in mind, we have planned to organize three days “International Conference on Green Technologies, Environment and Drug Discovery (ICGTEDD-2025)”.

Founded in 1956, The Kalgidhar Society – Baru Sahib has been working tirelessly towards transforming the lives of rural children through the tool of Value-Based Education. At the same time, Society has placed equal focus on empowering women, providing health care and ensuring social welfare for the vulnerable people in society. With the firm belief that everyone deserves to lead a life of dignity, each initiative of The Kalgidhar Society is embedded in the core thought of ’Bringing Grace to the Human Race’. The Kalgidhar Society initiated its work to bring back the glory of Punjab which is free of drug and alcohol abuse through the tool of education rooted in values. In its quest of fighting drugs with books, the Society has established 129 low-cost CBSE schools and 2 universities. The Kalgidhar Society under its flagship Akal Academies program, is providing modern, value-based education to nearly 70,000 students across rural areas of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Extending a helping hand to all those in need and giving them an opportunity to lead a decent life, the Kalgidhar Society has established teacher training centers, a multi-specialty hospital, drug de-addiction centers, an orphanage, one old age home, and a Center for Distressed Women. Through the years, our work has been recognized globally and models developed by the Society have been adapted across various educational institutions.

GREEN CHEMISTRY NETWORK CENTRE (GCNC) was established in University of Delhi under the recommendation of World Leaders in Green Chemistry headed by Professor Paul Anastas (known as the father of Green Chemistry) to build a Network for exchange of expertise, discussion and knowledge between industrialists, academicians chemists and engineers with interests and expertise relevant to Green Chemistry. The centre also prepares and disseminates the teaching materials on Green Chemistry for school, college and university levels with the simultaneous design of laboratory experiments for these levels as well
In commemoration of the Silver Jubilee of Green Chemistry Principles!!

The Indian Chemical Society, a premier Scientific Society of India, was founded on 9th May, 1924, as National Forum for the community of chemists and members of allied disciplines in the country. The driving force behind its establishment was the nationalistic spirit prevailing in India under British rule. J. N. Mukherjee, J. C. Ghosh and S. S. Bhatnagar while carrying out their research work in the University College, London in 1919 for the D.Sc. Degree, took a decision that after coming back to India their endeavour would be to establish a Chemical Society like the Chemical Society of London. Their cherished dream was transformed into a reality with active cooperation of many of the leading personalities in the country, and the Indian Chemical Society was founded on May 9, 1924, as a registered Society, with Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, the doyen of Indian Chemists, as the first President. Many of the distinguished personalities in the field of Chemical Science of that time in India and Europeans took active interest in nurturing the new born Society. The Indian Chemical Society started its activity with the publication of a Journal entitled “Journal of the Indian Chemical Society”, which publishes double blind peer reviewed articles, papers, notes, communications and book reviews in the major areas of Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering Chemistry, Industrial and Applied Chemistry. From January 2021 this journal is being published by the renowned International Publishing House, the Elsevier. Since 1963 the Indian Chemical Society has been organizing an Annual Event entitled “Annual Convention of Chemists”. To encourage research in Chemical Sciences the Society has instituted 21 Endowment Awards in the name of famous Indian Chemists and yearly 15-16 reputed chemists of the country and abroad awarded the prizes at the Annual Convention.
